Genesis Upholstery was founded in 1999 by Edison Tello. He learned his craft early in his life through his father who was also an upholsterer. Later on, Edison worked with upholstery workrooms in Manhattan. These workrooms allowed him to gain experience in high end furniture upholstery. This experience allowed him to open up a small workroom in the heart of New York City's Fashion Industry. This is where is all began! He was head upholsterer and his wife was head seamstress. This allowed for a family business to begin and still goes on today. After perfecting our craft in NYC for 15 years, we moved our workroom to Passaic, NJ. Today we are able to fulfill more projects in faster turn around times. We have worked with high end designers throughout the states, small residential homes in local towns, commercial spaces throughout malls and 5th Ave. No job is too small or too big for our team to take on. We take pride in our small family owned workroom because we are able to give you that personal one to one attention. We look forward to working with you in near future.
